Evidence-Based Psychological Services

Welcome to Soft Psychology.

I'm Amal Abuelhassan, a psychology student, mental health advocate, and international development professional with more than 20 years of experience working with United Nations agencies and international organizations in monitoring, evaluation, research, project management, and organizational learning.

Throughout my career, I have worked on initiatives that improve people's lives, strengthen communities, and support evidence-based decision-making. While my professional journey has focused on humanitarian and development work, my lifelong passion has always been psychology and emotional wellbeing.

Soft Psychology was created to make psychological knowledge practical, compassionate, and accessible to everyone. I believe that mental health support should not be limited to the therapy room—it should be available through education, reflection, and everyday tools that empower people to better understand themselves and build healthier lives.

Through articles, journals, therapeutic resources, guided exercises, and evidence-informed content, my goal is to help individuals develop resilience, improve emotional wellbeing, and discover practical strategies for navigating life's challenges with confidence and hope.

In addition to my work in psychology, I am also a writer who believes in the power of words to inspire healing, growth, and meaningful change.

Thank you for being here. I hope Soft Psychology becomes a trusted space where you feel supported, understood, and encouraged on your journey toward emotional wellbeing.

There is a candle, a small vase with flowers, and a mug on the table, and a bookshelf with potted plants and art in the background.
